So Dave after yesterday's game Tristan gave me an idea..
Spectral bolt thrower :evil:
Though I'm joking really as of be honest it would be so expensive and there not sure anything worth firing as as a regular bolt thrower is so powerful, on another note though why is it no armies besides Orcs use chariots as I could see mercenaries of many using them and undead as there could be a l9ng dead kingdom with technology considered backwards by humans that is raised up
Its just a thought

The Moon on a Stick eh :lol: :P Well it sounds great, but thing is that Bolt Thrower always just about cannal out all saves anyway, so it would make to much of a difference really.

Well Tom the answer lays in the Orc Codex's Fluff on page 57:

"A cloud of black dust lifts off the horizon, as the Orc Iron chariots pulled by their ferocious Zags charge straight towards you and your men with the intention of running you all down like dogs!

It's time to go, or face down one of the most devastating band of chariot riders on the Middle Plain.

Orcs have short squat bodies, and so find it difficult to ride steeds of any kind.

To make up for their body plan's natural disadvantage for mounting and riding their Zags, they use heavy chariots of iron instead."

And there is no reason why other races too cannot use them, but the Orcs kind of just have to because of their body plan.

Its because Cavalry is far more versatile:

* Cavalry can go over most types of terrain, which Chariots just a cannot.
* Chariots are very unwieldy things machines.
* They can break down.
* And their are very expensive things to build and field in battle.

To be fair there not that hard to build, and they are mostly built by the Orcs' Slaves.
